Everest
Los Angeles based Everest had been separately playing around the City of Angels for years in various musical projects (Earlimart, the Watson Twins) before gaining notoriety in 2008. The five songwriters decided to combine forces, caught the attention of fellow artists like My Morning Jacket, and gained national exposure via a spot on Conan O'Brien and a tour with Neil Young. Besides all this, the indie alternative country band released their debut LP, Ghost Notes, a record filled with warm folk pop and cathartic jam rock. CHARLIE SWANSON
