The Dead Trees
The Dead Trees emerged from the evergreen lands of Portland, OR, a few years back with a determined bark. Their latest album, King of Rosa, is an inventive and addictive collection of folk rock sensibilities held together by a would be slacker persona, if they weren't so groovy. Sounding like a latter day Pavement fronted by Jeff Tweedy, the Dead Trees perfectly blend the good times with the bad, an all too easy and accomplished feat for the quartet. CHARLIE SWANSON
