Robert Francis
Self-described as a tango thrash artist, Robert Francis actually projects more of a soft melodic country rock. Francis grew up in a musically enmeshed family, exposing him to the gamut of styles, from classical to ranchero. Known as a wunderkind with numerous instruments, Francis was found worthy of, and received a vintage national guitar at age nine from Ry Cooter. Performing at SXSW in Austin this March, and due to release a new album in Summer 2009, Francis' Noise Pop showing is highly anticipated. ARTHUR GRONEMAN
