Kaki King loved music as a child, but began playing behind the drums. Even today, the guitarist and songwriter loves to be percussive. Pounding on her axe and layering her already complex rhythms, King blends complicated guitar work with effortless, arresting melodies. The hypnotic effect of King's engaging vocals and lush arrangement, unusually catchy and memorable, has granted King titles like "guitar god" and cemented her reputation as a gifted songwriter. Her latest release, Dreaming of Revenge, builds on King's recent work with a full band.
