FREEDM Films asked filmmakers to share their unique point of view by submitting films that ‘make art, make fun of art.’  We present them to you here in conjunction with the 15th Annual Noise Pop Festival.

Rubber Band Ball
San Francisco legends Samir and Nabil Kishek worked for over two years from their storefront, the Pride Superette, on their quest to build the world’s largest rubber band ball.

A between-gigs undertaker tours with his band from tavern to tavern and graveyard to graveyard in a macabre exploration of what it means to be dead, or at least hallucinating.

Fire and Effect

Dusty, a fire enthusiast, has been an observer at many fire art festivals.  After picking up a few tips from fellow artists, Dusty, along with his neighbor “Psycho” Dave, experiment on becoming theatrical fire effect artists themselves. Humbled by what other artists are doing around him, Dusty isn’t so sure he’s ready to be referred to as an artist. “Fire and Effect” offers a glimpse into a man attempting to connect with art through fire.
