This Year's Poster Design Maestro
The design of this here Noise Pop supersite is based on the artwork from the
forthcoming Noise Pop SF 2002 poster, designed by local artist Bill Swanson.
Swanson's spacey, ambient landscapes flipped our
wigs, and we think you'll flip yours too when you see this year's poster and
some of his other work. Check his stuff out online at his gallery, which is also holding
a solo exhibition of his work entitled "Growth Studies" next month:

Women with guitars, reluctant rock stars and...Catfish?
For the third year in a row, Noise Pop takes music out of the clubs and
puts it on the big screen with the Noise Pop Film Festival, a series of
music-related films and videos, Wednesday, February 27 through Sunday,
March 3. Screenings will be held at the Delancey Street Screening Room
and at Artists' Television Access.
We are happy to say that this year's festival is literally twice the size
of last year's with thirteen films and videos over five days. Radiohead,
the Clash, Nick Drake and the Flaming Lips are all included in this year's
program, alongside obsessive record collectors, unknown heavy metal
maestros and the only all-girl garage band in Mexico City. Read
details about the whole lineup on the film schedule page.
They're Baaaack: Noise Pop Educational Series Take 3
We are pleased to announce the return of the Noise Pop Educational Series. The date is Saturday, March 1 and the
lecture hall is the Noe Valley Ministry. It will be our normal smorgasboard of musicians, writers, and industry
professionals. Details are available on the panels page.
Noise Pop 10 Show Update - Finished?
It looks like the entire schedule might actually be done!
Check out the lineup!
We've firmed up a few remaining shows and added another shindig on Thursday evening: the DIW Issue Toast at The
Makeout Room, featuring Pinq, Jason Lytle of Grandaddy, The Long Winters, and Buellton.
Badges! Badges! Badges!
This year's All-Show Festival Badges are sold out... For those of you who
managed to snag a badge, you get a free Noise Pop 10 t-shirt and the chance
